Can I make a difference at Baptism?

Baptism may be something you feel that your child's mum has arranged, and that you may not have taken a very active part.

But your role is equally important to your child.

At baptism you stand beside your child with others who love and care for him or her. Together you all promise to bring them up as a follower of Jesus Christ.

In doing so you have shown your child, your family and friends that you want to play a vital role in your child's life. Baptism is a sign that you want your child to enjoy spiritual as well as material well-being.

The church - your community - want to support you in your role as father, and your child as they join the church community.
