Love

In all truth I tell you,
by himself the Son can do nothing;
he can do only what he sees the Father doing:
and whatever the Father does the Son does too.
For the Father loves the Son and shows him everthing he himself does. John 5:19-20

Prayer of a new dad

Before I was a father, Lord, I thought it would be fine.
After all – how hard could it be?
A few cuddles, a bit of rough and tumble, a stern look on a very few occasions – and life would carry on as normal. T
here would just be a little person now to fit in with our plans........
No one told me this little person would grab hold of my heart so strongly I know there’ll never be any letting go.
Well they did, but I didn’t listen!

No one told me this little person would change my whole focus in life from my best interests to theirs. Well they did, but I didn’t listen!Heavenly Father, the love that I feel for my child is just a pale reflection of the love you have for me. You must love me very much indeed!
